One-page quilt zine contextualizes the notion that memories are suspended in objects; the more we try to glimpse our memories, the more they fade. The obscurity and blurriness of the archival images prevent the viewer from understanding the intimate, familial scenes. The viewer’s inability to access these memories mirrors the disconnection I experience from my own family dynamics and experiences. I try to understand my family’s life, feeling like I have been part of it so little, as the youngest.
